For dinner tonight, tacos. Warm up some tortilla shells. A little shredded lettuce, sour cream, sliced avacado, ground beef, cheese, sliced black olives, and above salsa (was in the fridge over night). Yummy.
Added chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder to the ground beef for ps

Some fried Fish would be good too, instead of ground beer.

I'm looking for a super hot salsa recipe. My youngest LOVEs hot food and its hard to find a really good jar of salsa at the store. I'm looking for the kind that sets your mouth on fire but still tastes good. Keep in my my youngest has been know to go bottoms up on a bottle of Louisiana hot sauce.

Don't have a specific recipe, but you could spike salsa w/ habanero or a habanero sauce.

For those that have made their own salsa does this look like a good recipe?

Yes it does, but I've never added oregano before. I 'll give it a try and report back.

I looked at that one before, looks like one I'd make, sans the oregano. It might be good though, just never tried it. I like adding lime to mine too, and a higher concentration of the onion and cilantro. 5 Habeneros sounds like a real mouth burner.
When I was a kid, I ate one whole once. Then I wiped my eyes to deal with the tears. After I went to the bathroom to put in eye drops because I thought I went blind, I decided to take a leak. That was a terrible idea.

I went to Walmart grocery tonight and couldn't find any of the Habenero peppers. Not sure who carries those.

I've never shopped at Walmart for groceries, but most of the major chains around here carry them near the vegetables. No idea what kind of food chains you have though.

The two closest to me are a Super Kmart which has a grocery section and the Walmart grocery store. I can never remember the name of it. Both suck something fierce. The next closest place is a really old and really crappy Kroger store. Bad selection and what they have is over priced. The first decent grocery store is quite a drive from my house. By Google maps the grocery store is 11 minutes away. But that is in an ideal world. In reality it is 15+ minutes away. A half an hour round trip seems excessive to go grocery shopping. But all I have near me is total crap.

Yikes. I've looked at the food at walmart before, but never thought the fresh stuff looked any good, and the closest Super Walmart is 30 minutes from me. I never knew KMart sold food.
I have the opposite problem. My closest groceries are all top-end, quality places. It's nice to be able to get quality foods, get a good selection, but the down side is that normal items cost more. I do have a Safeway near me, but Safeway is almost as expensive as every where else, and sucks bad.

There is a Safeway a block from my house but I didn't even mention them because they are probably the worst grocery store I have ever seen. And the Super Kmart does sell food but I quit going there. Their grocery section was terrible and way over priced. Horrible service too.

Safeway would probably have them though, at least if they're like the ones here.

Sometimes Habanero's are labelled as Scotch Bonnet Peppers, which are a type of Habanero.

Take 1/4 medium diced onion, cook in 2tbsp oil and a pinch of salt until wilted, throw in 1 c. rice and stir until it starts to brown. Throw in 1 cup salsa and 2 cups chicken broth. Simmer until rice is done.
Quick and tasty spanish rice made with salsa.

I think more of a regional item. Or try a Farmers Market. I could send you some if you'd like.

Habaneros look like this:

As others have said, drop the oregano, add some lime and that recipe looks like a winner.
