Yeah A.B. rules. I'd love to spend a day in the kitchen with him. I know I'd learn a lot.

LOL, I saw A.B., and thought "Arrogant Bastard", which is a yummy beer by Stone brewery. Alton is the best. I love his show.

I LOVE Alton's kitchen. Some of his recipes aren't half bad either. This summer, I'm going to try my hand at his blueberry pie. Mmmmmm.... pie.

I'm going to be making his sweet and sour pork recipe soon. I'll let you all know how it turns out. First I have to find a place around here that sells pork shoulder.

OK, I tried it and it's pretty good. Some reviewers said the sauce tasted too much like ketchup so I used 3/4 cup instead of 1cup and added 1/4 cup of pineapple juice from the can (yes, I used canned) of pineapple chunks. We couldn't really even tell that there was ketchup in it made that way.
My wife and 1 year old both loved it. The sauce is very good in my opinion. I'll be making the sauce again for sweet and sour chicken breast chunks next time as I'm not a big fan of deep fried anything.
The only other change I'll probably make is cutting the sesame oil in half. It only uses 1/2tbsp but it was a little too strong for me. Sesame oil has a very strong, almost peanut like flavor, so use it very sparingly. Also, I just used table salt and it was fine. Don't let Alton's overzealous use of kosher salt in everything scare you away.
